Hi, I’m Kim — intuitive artist, creative guide, and founder of KimSales.com . . . where your soul meets art.

To me, painting isn’t just about making art — it’s about remembering who you are. It’s a sacred invitation to slow down, listen inward, and return to your wild, luminous self.

My art journey began in childhood. Living with dyslexia meant I saw and sensed the world differently — not through words, but through movement, symbol, rhythm, and image. Nature became my classroom. Art became my first language. And the river near my home was my first muse.

I followed my love of creativity into a professional career, earning a BFA from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design. I spent three decades in advertising, publishing, and retail — leading teams, building brands, mentoring creatives, and growing as a woman in business. I loved the people and the possibilities, but somewhere along the way, I lost touch with the part of me that needed to create for the sake of creating.

Then one day, sitting high in a downtown corporate tower overlooking the Mississippi River, I felt it: a deep soul ache. I was far from the child who once painted turtles and trees by the river. I had the titles, the meetings, the deadlines — but not the joy.

That night, I bought a set of paints. I didn’t know if I could still do it. I just knew I had to try.

The early paintings were rough, raw, and real. They didn’t look like much — but they felt like everything. With each brushstroke, something softened. Stress faded. My intuition reawakened. My joy returned.

And so, quietly at first, I kept painting. Nights and weekends. Learning, experimenting, trusting. Eventually, I realized that this wasn’t just about art — it was about remembering how I wanted to live.

In 2020, I took the leap. I started KimSales.com and launched Lantern Light Studio — my creative sanctuary and soul-led business where I now teach others how to reconnect with their inner knowing through intuitive painting.

Today, I guide people through a process I call Creative Frequency — a soulful, meditative approach to art that invites you to let go of perfection, quiet the noise, and let your heart lead. Whether you’re a beginner who’s never held a paintbrush or a creative ready to deepen your practice, you’re welcome here.

My work is inspired by nature, cycles, and the quiet wisdom that lives beneath the surface. I believe that when we paint with intention, we begin to shape not just the canvas, but our lives. We paint what we want more of. We call it in.
