Love in layers . . .

This Valentine’s day, spend the day creating!

I can’t believe that it’s the middle of the month! Where does the time go . . . I wanted to share a painting prompt today and nudge you to celebrate YOU on Valentine’s day by creating what you LOVE.

Painting Prompt: Use multiple layers in your artwork to convey the complexity of love, the love you desire more of . . . do you desire more freedom? Would love to be more confident? Or simply love some new art supplies! Love comes in many forms, shapes & sizes. Ask yourself - what would you LOVE now! Write it down and paint the word LOVE big an bold! Experiment with different textures, colors, and techniques to express the intricate layers of emotions. Learn to LOVE your messy middle, in art & in life such powerful medicine for the soul.

I created this symbolic head dress or crown to lean into personal sovereignty!

The painting is filled with symbols, the hearts - meaning love, affection & a representation of your soul. The diamond - meaning clarity, alchemy, transformation the fracets of new perspectives. The scarab beetle - One of Egypts iconic symbols meaning strength, creativity, resourcefulness to name a few. The eyes meaning spiritual perception, protection, all seeing, all knowing eyes, the windows to your soul so many meanings for each one. Half moon’s & spiral’s so so many layers to LOVE. It’s spring here in Minnesota and today as the rain gently falls, I am going to make some citrus marmalade a favorite in my house. This kind of creativity is so good for the soul, the sent of citrus fills the house and the end result is so amazing . . . especially when I bake fresh bread to go with the marmalade! Enjoy what you love - pick one thing a day and create the life you want!
